Join our FDIC Financial Literacy program now open to all ages!  Learn all about savings, loans, interest and borrowing while staying money smart.  A financial advisor will be on site to answer questions about estate planning, retirement saving and more!

Basket Weaving Class   - January 19th at 9:00 AM
Join us for another fun filled basket weaving class in the Ayers Room!  $40.00 non-refundable registration fee.  Sign up at the Main Circulation Desk.  Basket picture in graphic is what we will be constructing.

Wayne Flynt presents: "Afternoons with Harper Lee"  
January 24th at 2 PM

Mr. Flynt will be discussing his new book, "Afternoons with Harper Lee" which gives readers an inside look into the life and legacy of famed writer Nelle Harper Lee.   For 64 afternoons Wayne Flynt, his wife Dartie and Harper Lee sat and talked away the day. Flynt wrote down those memories and offers them to us in a true open window into Harper Lee.

Model City Chess Club - January 21st at 1:30 PM
Join the Model City Chess Club at the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County.  All skill levels and all ages welcome.  (Meets the third Saturday of every month)

A Wednesday Themed Escape Room  January (Various Dates)

Anime Club: Komi Can't Communicate, January 12th at 4:00 PM
Come to the Ayers Room to watch a new anime title and enjoy Japanese snacks and prizes every month!  This month we will be watching Komi Can't Communicate.

D&D Day at the Library, January 14th at 1 PM
Join us at the Library for D&D and pizza.

FDIC Money Smart for Young Adults, January 18th at 3:30 PM
Each month, the Library will offer a FDIC Money Smart course for young adults. This program contains eight modules, with a different module being offered every month. Students from the 11th-12th grade are encouraged to attend. This month, we will be accessing Module 5 - Borrowing Basics.

Game Night, January 26th at 6 PM
Virtual Reality, (VR users must be 13+), board games, card games, party games! You name it; we'll be playing it. Bring your friends or make some new ones!

Homeschooler Computer Class,  January 6th at 11 AM
Learn how to do everything from spreadsheets and resume writing to coding and creating graphics. Held at the Carver Branch Library. 722 W 14th St, Anniston

Homeschoolers Art Class,  January 20th at 11 AM
Learn about famous artists, movements, styles and mediums and then create works of art yourself! Ages 13+

Lego League,  January 11th at 3:30
Come build Lego challenges and win door prizes in the Children's Department!  Held every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:30 PM

Sensory Storytime, Tuesdays at 10 AM
Come back to the library and join us for Storytime every Tuesday at 10 am in the Ayer's Room! This will be a socially distanced story time with a craft. A recording of the story will be made available on Facebook.

Pick-Up Craft, Weekly in January
Each week a new craft will be available. You can pick up a kit in the Children's Department.
