Sherry Blanton Presents:  "We All Garden Together" - June 6 at 2 PM
Gardeners can not only create beauty but also become stewards of the places we garden and live in.  Each of us plays a role and together we can have a tremendous impact.  Join Sherry Blanton as she teaches us to garden together.  (3 Rewards)

Dr. Daniel Haulman Presents: "Misconceptions of the Tuskegee Airmen"- June 20 at 2 PM
Once an obscure piece of World War II history, the Tuskegee Airmen are now among the most celebrated and documented aviators in military history. With this growth in popularity, however, have come a number of inaccurate stories and assumptions. Misconceptions about the Tuskegee Airmen refutes fifty-five of these myths, correcting the historical record while preserving the Airmen's rightful reputation as excellent servicemen.  Join Author and Aviation Historian Dr. Daniel Haulman as he discusses his book "Misconceptions of the Tuskeegee Airmen".

Dolores Hydock Presents: "Oh Henry!  The Life and Writing of William Sydney Porter" - June 27 at 2 PM
Join Master Storyteller Dolores Hydock for her program "Oh Henry!  The Life and Writing of William Sydney Porter".  "O. Henry" is one of the most famous pseudonyms in American literature.  It belonged to William Sydney Porter, who is often called "the master of the American short story." 

In this program, Will Porter's personal story is interwoven with updated tellings of some of the literary gems written by one of the most popular writers of his day.  (3 Rewards)

TEENS If you've ever been intrigued by improv and want to see what it's all about, this fun introduction to improv is just for you! You’ll learn the basics of improvised theatre -- spontaneity, playfulness, creativity, listening, storytelling, and more -- through games and activities.

Create your own colorful masterpiece while enjoying an Italian soda bar.

D&D Day - June 10 at 1:00 PM
Join us at the Library for D&D and Pizza.  All Skill levels welcome!

Virtual Reality, (VR users must be 13+), board games, card games, party games! You name it; we'll be playing it. Bring your friends or make some new ones!

June Teen Take and Make Crafts
This month for our teen take & makes we will be making Kawaii Ice Cream Cones and Edible Aquariums!  Offered to teens only.  One craft per teen please.  Pick up in the YA Department.

Virtual Reality Wednesdays - Every Wednesday
Every Wednesday during the Summer, we'll have the HTC Vive out in the Teen area.  (Starting June 7)

Teen Friday Flicks - Every Friday at 3 PM

Come kick off the library's summer reading program with a petting zoo!

C.A.S.T. Kidz presents: The Wizard of OZ - June 8 at 10 AM
Cast Kidz will visit the library and show off a scene from The Wizard of Oz. After the demonstration, they'll show you how to do the choreography!

The Bubble Lady - June 15 at 10 AM
Come see bubbles galore with The Bubble Lady, Kit Killingsworth!

Pokémon Card Club - June 21 at 3:30 PM
Come trade Pokémon Cards and play the card game with others in the Children's Department!  Attendees will receive three free cards!  Held every third Wednesday at 3:30 PM.

Working Dogs: Furry Friends Hard at Work - June 22 at 10 AM
Learn more about working dogs. The Sheriff's department will be stopping by to showcase dogs that work with law enforcement. Runner, a diabetic service dog, and his owners will also stop by to showcase dogs that perform medical tasks.

Doc Magic Fun Time Variety Show - June 29 at 10 AM
Join the one and only Doc Magic for his Fun Time Variety Show here at The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County!  Enjoy a wide assortment of magic tricks, balloon sculptures and so much more!
