CITY EVENTS & NEWS:

Memorial Day Closures: City Hall & Republic Services | 05/30/22

Citizens of Anniston, please note that Republic Services will not operate on Memorial Day (05/30/22), thus sanitation services will be one day behind next week. Republic will work next Saturday (06/04/22) in order to finish their weekly routes. In addition, Anniston City Hall will be Closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day as well.

32nd Annual Memorial Day Ceremony | 05/30/22

Join us on May 30th at Centennial Memorial Park in Anniston for the 32nd annual Memorial Day Ceremony, as we honor our military heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of service. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM at 225 Ken Rollins Way, Anniston, AL 36207. For more information, please contact Ken Rollins at: 256-239-9234.

Yahou Lake Park is Now Open!

Looking for a great way to spend Memorial Day? Come checkout McClellan’s new Yahou Lake Park! Between April and September, the park is open 7 days a week from 6AM - 7:30PM. The Park offers fishing, picnic tables, boating and more! To find this park, from HWY 431 turn onto Iron Mtn Rd, and the Lake Yahou Park entrance will be immediately on the left, or from HWY 21 take Iron Mtn Rd towards HWY 431, and the Lake Yahou Park entrance will be on the right just before the highway. Ordinances on Short-Term Rentals & Food Trucks | 05/25/22

Earlier this week, we issued a press release in order to notify the public of our new ordinances on short-term rentals & food trucks in the city. These ordinances will start being enforced this month, thus please read over them at the link below.

Electronics Recycling Drive | 06/23/22

There will be an electronics recycling drive on June 23, 2022 from 8am until 1pm at the Calhoun County Administration Building at 1702 Noble Street in Anniston!

Registration is Now Open for Youth Football & Cheer!

Youth Football & Cheerleading are now open to youth ages 5-12! Registration is $85, and uniforms may be kept based on availability! You may signup online at this link: https://bit.ly/3sVkjmF.
