Salary Range: $16.71-$22.40/hour
Description
Responsible for the maintenance of the City’s roads and property by performing the following duties. Benefits include State Retirement, paid Health Insurance (single), and vacation package.
Principle Duties
- Cut’s grass and trims weeds.
- Operates backhoe to dig trenches for pipes.
- Operates brush truck to collect and deliver brush to landfill.
- Repair’s streets and sidewalks.
- Barricades roads for floods or event purposes.
- Removes and replaces damaged traffic signs
- Replaces worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment.
- Assists with set-up and take down of holiday decorations.
- Operates backhoes, excavators, asphalt rollers, boom mowers, zero turn mowers, floor saws, grapple trucks, brush trucks, side arm, and other various small power tools or heavy equipment.
- Assist with demolitions of property as needed.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with others.
