POLICE LIFESAVERS: Five Huntsville police officers received the City's prestigious Lifesaving Award for their brave and quick response to a dangerous incident with serious injuries. North Precinct Officers Christopher Glaser, Cameron Beatty and Tanner Premo were dispatched to a stabbing in progress last June. Their quick thinking and emergency training helped them assist and treat multiple victims until they could be safely transported to the hospital. Emergency Room doctors said the individuals would not have survived without the lifesaving measures performed by these outstanding officers. Thank you, Officers Glaser, Beatty and Premo!

SPORTY LOOK AT HAYS FARM
The City approved a $2.4 million contract with Chorba Contracting Corporation to build facilities for the new Hays Farm Sports Park. It will feature two regulation-size, multipurpose fields suitable for soccer, lacrosse and other activities. more

BOEING'S BOLD ELECTRONICS
Boeing Huntsville hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of its 9,000 square feet expansion of the Huntsville Electronics Center of Excellence. Boeing's state-of-the-art electronics fabrication capability comprises engineers and technicians who manufacture and maintain circuit boards for Boeing programs such as the Patriot Advanced Capability seeker, International Space Station, Space Launch System, F-15 fighter and P-8A Poseidon.
