Newly redesigned city website launches

The City of Orange Beach is pleased to announce that its newly redesigned website successfully launched on Wednesday. It has an entirely new look and more functionality for residents and visitors alike. The web address remains the same: www.orangebeachal.gov (https://www.orangebeachal.gov/?utm_source=City+of+Orange+Beach+Community+Newsletter&utm_campaign=93c8d4bb90-Jan.+5%2C+2018+City+Newsletter%2C+Vol.+1+Issue+1_COPY_&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_50a576ca9e-93c8d4bb90-171456508) .

Powered by the CivicPlus content management system, the new website provides opportunities for users to stay up-to-date on city activities through the NotifyMe and MyAccount functions. Other new features include an enhanced ADA-compliant format via AudioEye, bid postings, and robust city calendar listings and news alerts, all with a vibrant new look and design.

The newly updated website remains mobile-friendly and responsive. In the upcoming weeks, city staff will keep working on streamlining the content and making improvements to the site’s navigation. Some functions, such as viewing City Council agendas, will not be live immediately on the CivicPlus platform but will remain at the NovusAgenda site (https://orangebeach.novusagenda.com/agendapublic/?utm_source=City+of+Orange+Beach+Community+Newsletter&utm_campaign=93c8d4bb90-Jan.+5%2C+2018+City+Newsletter%2C+Vol.+1+Issue+1_COPY_&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_50a576ca9e-93c8d4bb90-171456508) .
AudioEye

With AudioEye, website visitors can increase the text size, and get audio reading of the text on the website, which makes it more inclusive to anyone who may have a disability. To access AudioEye, click on the icon on the bottom right corner of the new website.
MyAccount

By clicking “Log In” on MyAccount (https://www.orangebeachal.gov/MyAccount?utm_source=City+of+Orange+Beach+Community+Newsletter&utm_campaign=93c8d4bb90-Jan.+5%2C+2018+City+Newsletter%2C+Vol.+1+Issue+1_COPY_&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_50a576ca9e-93c8d4bb90-171456508) , users may create a login for the City of Orange Beach site or use their Facebook profile to access MyAccount.
