DREDGING COMPLETED AT PERDIDO PASS, WITH SAND REPLENISHED WEST OF JETTY

On Thursday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and their dredging contractor Mike Hooks LLC completed the dredging of Perdido Pass after about a month of work. More than 250,000 cubic yards of sand has been added to the west side of the pass. The project removed the equivalent of 12,000 dump trucks-worth of sand from the pass.

The project is a win-win for the city with the pass deeper for vessels and the extra sand was needed on the west side of the pass jetty.

While the dredging is complete it will take some time to demobilize and remove all of the piping and equipment. The public is urged to use caution in the area until everything is removed.

Beverly Jo has longstanding memories of this property when the Campbells owned it and she was friends with Mrs. Sandy Campbell. Come hear her beautiful voice as she shares her memories with us.

Bo Roberts' first job playing guitar was with John Fogerty. He was also lead guitarist and band leader for Hank Jr. for three years, and lead guitarist for Gene Watson. He has multiple songwriting credits about which he will share his stories of writing them.

Rick Whaley is truly an experienced, schooled musician and strong vocalist. He's been on both sides of the glass in many studios as a guitarist, bassist, singer, engineer and producer.
