Come by and explore artwork made by our friends at the Exceptional Foundation. The Exceptional Foundation currently serves over 700 individuals with special needs annually. They provide year round social and recreational services for individuals ranging in age from 5 to 81.

Adult Dungeons & Dragons: Advanced Players
Thursday, September 1 & 15, from 6-8 p.m. Rm 102

Banned Book to Movies – The Color Purple
Friday, September 2, from 12-2 p.m. Large Auditorium
Based on Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Color Purple is a richly-textured, powerful film set in America's rural south. Whoopi Goldberg, winner of the Best Actress Golden Globe Award and an Oscar nomination, makes a triumphant screen debut as the radiant, indomitable Celie, the story's central character. Her impressive portrayal is complimented by a distinguished cast that includes Danny Glover, Oprah Winfrey, and Margaret Avery.

Not Your Mama’s Book Club: Flower Essences with Jessica Carmon
Tuesday, September 6, from 2-3:30 p.m. Boardroom
No book reading required, discussion group only. Flower Essences are vibrational medicine. Jessica Carmon, from ReSourced Apothecary, will explain more about what flower essences are, how they are created and the powerful gifts they offer us. I will guide the group through my process and then we will have the opportunity to take a flower essence and connect to the energy of that plant.

Niki Sepsas Presents: People of the North Country

A glimpse at Alaska’s indigenous people, from the Inuits of the Arctic and the Aleuts of the Aleutian Islands to the tribes who carved a life in the temperate rainforest of the state’s panhandle.
