SavingPlacesHsv: With a birds-eye view of downtown Huntsville, Mayor Battle declared May as Preservation Month. City Preservationist Katie Stamps, Council Member Bill Kling, Long-Range Planner Dennis Madsen, and Mary Beth Lewis, Director of Sales & Marketing at 106 Jefferson, kicked off the "Saving Places" campaign on the roof of the downtown hotel. The 2022 campaign will include historic walking tours, videos and social media posts highlighting modern businesses that have adapted downtown gems. Watch the news conference here.

PANOPLY ARTS FESTIVAL 2022

The highly anticipated Panoply Arts Festival opens this weekend in Big Spring Park. The 40th celebration of the arts will feature musical acts, performing arts, and more than 100 visual artists from across the region. Panoply opens Friday, April 29 at 5 p.m., and runs through Sunday. More information here.
