ORION RISING: Mayor Tommy Battle joined members of the Huntsville City Council as well as representatives from the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber and tvg hospitality to cut the ribbon on the new Orion Amphitheater at MidCity District Friday. This weekend, the venue will host The First Waltz, a three-day concert event featuring artists with ties to Alabama and Huntsville. > more
HSV AIRPORT LANDS SPACE OPTION
Huntsville International Airport is the nation's first commercial airport to receive FAA approval to land commercial space vehicles at the jetplex. The initial license is specific to the Dream Chaser Space Vehicle but further supports the concept of future space

WASTEWATER OPERATORS EARN AWARDS
Mayor Battle is applauding the efforts of operators at the City's Aldridge Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. The plant recently received a recognition award from Alabama’s Water Environment Association (AWEA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and managing Alabama’s waters. KOHLER EXPANDS FOOTPRINT
Mayor Battle joined Kohler CEO David Kohler and other Kohler executives for a ribbon-cutting on a new state-of-the-art 546,000-square-foot warehouse near its plant on Wall Triana Highway. The new warehouse is designed to improve efficiency and delivery for Kohler's kitchen and bath products.
