HONORING OUR HEROES

Mayor Battle joined Huntsville Hospital CEO Jeff Samz and Crestwood Medical Center CEO Dr. Pam Hudson this week for a proclamation presentation recognizing National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and National Hospital Week (May 8-14). Despite the challenges caused by COVID-19, their teams went above and beyond to care for our community. Be sure to thank a health care worker when you can.  more

SMALL BUSINESS WEEK

Small businesses are the backbone of our community. To show gratitude for their investment in Huntsville, Mayor Battle came together with Madison Mayor Paul Finley, the Chamber and Small Business Administration to celebrate Small Business Week. As Huntsville grows, please shop small when you can. Our businesses will appreciate it and you can feel good about giving back to your community.  more

GREENE STREET MARKET IS BACK

The Greene Street Market at Nativity opened Thursday for its 2022 season at the corner of Greene Street and Eustis Avenue. Open rain or shine, the open-air market offers locally-grown vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers and more every Thursday through the end of October. It's a great place to meet and make friends, listen to live music, do some shopping and eat dinner all in downtown Huntsville.  more

Hundreds of people came out to pray for peace and understanding. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring our community, churches and all religious faiths together on National Day of Prayer on May 5.
