Notices:
Closed for President's Day

The library will close Monday, February 20th for the holiday. No items will be due, and we will resume normal business hours Tuesday!

Career Outreach Day

The library has partnered with the Oneonta Career Center to bring a Career Outreach Day to our lobby. Visit anytime between 11am and 4pm on Thursday, February 16th to chat with our Career Center representative about anything relating to job search or professional development!

Book Club

Did you know we have an adult book club where we read monthly picks and have discussions? Ask the front desk for your copy of the next book club read! New members are always welcome :)

Craft Kits

We will be offering holiday-themed craft kits for all ages to take home! Check our yellow cart to see what's available.

Join Mr. Ricky for story time and crafts every Wednesday at 10!

Tuesday the 2nd at 5:30PM

RESUME WORKSHOP

Patrons 16 years and up are invited to join our Resume Workshop, presented by the Oneonta Career Center. Learn how to craft the ideal resume and search for jobs using the Alabama Works website.
To attend this event, please register for Alabama Works ahead of time OR come equipped with your ID and Social Security to register while at the workshop. No personal information will be shared. Laptops will be provided at the event while supplies last.

MR. BREAKFAST

Join us for stories and games with Mr. Breakfast! Mr. Breakfast teaches values like kindness, sportsmanship, and more through engaging life stories and scenarios.

Tuesdays at 5:30PM

ESL CLASS

Every Tuesday at the Oneonta Public Library from 5:30 - 8:30pm, Wallace State offers free English as a Second Language classes for adults. STEM activities, homework help, and tutoring will be provided with adult supervision for children of any attending ESL learners.

BOARD GAME CAFE

What's a board game café? Exactly what it sounds like - pick from our selection of board and card games (or bring your own), enjoy a cozy snack bar, and play as many different games with fellow café-goers as you like!

NOVEL DESTINATIONS BOOK CLUB

Novel Destinations will be reading Divergent by Veronica Roth, the bestselling YA dystopian that joined the likes of Hunger Games on the big screen.

Friday the 17th at 5:30PM

QUEEN OF HEARTS SCAVENGER HUNT

Someone has painted the roses red, eaten all of the Queen of Hearts’ jam tarts, and made off with the key to the Door! Escape Wonderland before time runs out and it’s off with your head.
Can your group solve the scavenger hunt riddles before time runs out? Teens 12+ are invited to join this Wonderland-themed hunt for clues—with a special prize at the end!

PAGE MASTERS BOOK CLUB

The Page Masters will be reading Boy’s Life by Robert R. McCammon, a suspense novel set in the mysterious town of Zephyr, Alabama.
