Notices:

Closed for New Years
The library will be closed Monday January 1st for New Years. The Library will resume normal business hours on Tuesday January 2nd.

Career Outreach Day

The library has partnered with the Oneonta Career Center to bring a Career Outreach Day to our lobby. Visit anytime between 11am and 4pm on Thursday, January 18th to chat with our Career Center representative about anything relating to job search or professional development!

Book Club

Did you know we have an adult book club where we read monthly picks and have discussions? Ask the front desk for your copy of the next book club read! New members are always welcome :)

Craft Kits

We offer free craft kits for all ages to take home! Check our yellow cart to see what's available.

Tuesdays from 10AM-2PM
KNIT KNOTS - KNIT & CROCHET GROUP
Knit Knots teaches anyone who wants to learn how to knit, crochet, or use other needlecraft to create something all your own! All ages welcome.
The group meets every Tuesday from 10am - 2pm in the library board room. Just ask the front desk where to go!

Crochet or knit for charity by helping us make lap blankets for nursing home residents, organized by Positive Maturity of Blount County.
Tax deductible monetary donations are also accepted for those who would like to contribute.

STORY TIME WITH MR. RICKY
Join Mr. Ricky for story time and crafts every Wednesday at 10am!

Thursdays from 4PM-5PM
ESL
The Oneonta Public Library is resuming English as a Second Language Classes every Thursday from 4pm – 5pm. Join us in the Conference Room for classes on how to speak English more fluently.

TRIVIA NIGHT
Know a lot of random facts or just like learning about things? Now you can put that skill to use for Trivia Night, where the name of the game is to know (or guess) Lots of Stuff™.

PERLER BEAD ART
Get ready for a pixelated adventure as we explore the art of Perler beads! Design characters, patterns, or even your favorite icons from pop culture using these tiny, meltable beads.
All materials will be provided.

This event is tailored for tweens and teens.
No prior art experience is necessary –
Space is Limited,

This program is ideal for children & teens aged 10 & up.

LEGO CLUB
Stretch the limits of your imagination at LEGO Club! This month’s theme is Covered Bridges, build a replica of one of Blount County's Covered Bridges or create your own unique Bridge-themed LEGO build! All builds will be put on public display for a month!

Unleash your inner artist!

Escape into the world of succulents and creativity with our Cactus Rock Painting Craft. Unwind and let your imagination flourish as you design and paint your very own cactus-inspired rocks that will live forever. Whether you're an experienced artist or just looking for a therapeutic and enjoyable activity, this Craft is perfect for you.

What to Expect:
All Skill Levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced artists.
We’ll provide everything needed.
Limited spots are available, please call the library to register.

Visit our lobby anytime between 11am and 4pm to talk with the Oneonta Career Outreach Center about job opportunities, how to apply for jobs matching your unique skills and resume building tips.
