Career Outreach Day

The library has partnered with the Oneonta Career Center to bring a Career Outreach Day to our lobby. Visit anytime between 11am and 4pm on Thursday, March 16th to chat with our Career Center representative about anything relating to job search or professional development!
Book Club

Did you know we have an adult book club where we read monthly picks and have discussions? Ask the front desk for your copy of the next book club read! New members are always welcome :)

Chickens For Beginners

Have you thought about raising chickens? For interested hobbyists, self-sustainers, or pet-owners, this presentation walks you through all the basics of adopting and keeping chickens—you can also come and see our chickens!

Friday the 3rd at 10AM & 4PM

Mr. Breakfast

Join us for stories and games with Mr. Breakfast! Mr. Breakfast teaches values like kindness, sportsmanship, and more through engaging life stories and scenarios.

Mondays from 10AM-11AM

Library Play Date

Parents, bring your kids to the children's area for play time between 10 and 11am on Mondays! Toys will be left out during play time, then sanitized before the next play date. This is a great time for parents and kids to socialize and meet new friends!

Note: The library does not offer child supervision of any kind. Parents must supervise children during the play date.

Oneonta Hooks & Needles - Knit & Crochet Group

The Oneonta Hooks & Needles group teaches anyone who wants to learn how to knit, crochet, or use other needlecraft to create something all your own! All ages welcome.
The group meets every Tuesday from 10am - 2pm in the library board room. Just ask the front desk where to go!

Board Game Cafe

What's a board game café? Exactly what it sounds like - pick from our selection of board and card games (or bring your own), enjoy a cozy snack bar, and play as many different games with fellow café-goers as you like!

Novel Destinations Book Club

The Novel Destinations Book Club is reading The Fisherman's Tomb by John O'Neill this month!

Joy Baptist Church presents a showing of Homeward Bound at the library for a kids movie night! The movie will start showing in the kids area at 6pm.

The Page Masters will be reading Divergent by Veronica Roth, the bestselling YA dystopian that joined the likes of Hunger Games on the big screen.

Kids and teens are invited to try out our St. Patrick's-themed chopsticks and catapult challenges! How many Lucky Charms pieces can you pick up with chopsticks before the timer runs out? Who can build the most effective DIY catapult using popsicle sticks and other materials?

Resume Workshop

Patrons 16+ are invited to join our Resumé Workshop, presented by the Oneonta Career Center. Learn how to craft the ideal resume and search for jobs using the Alabama Works website.
To attend this event, please register for Alabama Works ahead of time. Laptops will be provided at the event while supplies last.
