Proposed City Of Madison Budget For Fiscal Year 2023

Mayor Finley provided an update on the 2023 proposed budget to Council at the September 12th Council Meeting.
The proposed budget provides a continued employee investment with the 6th straight year of step increases and no increase to Employee Insurance Payments. Capital purchases to support public safety and appropriations are a highlight of community investment. Throughout the update, Mayor Finley outlined various projects budgeted for fiscal year 2023. Road restripting, infrastructure improvements, as well as greenway and park improvements all made the list.
The City's Finance Committee is currently reviewing the proposed budget and will present a final proposal for Council to vote on the September 26th, 2022 Council Meeting.
