Sherry Blanton Presents : "Carnivorous Plants", September 6th at 2 PM
Learn how carnivorous plants live on insects and even small animals.  They are not only beautiful, but adept at trapping and surviving on meat (except McDonald's hamburgers!).  Carnivorous plants are an amazing and awesome addition to any garden!

Cut the Cable - All About Streaming Services  September 7th at 2 PM
Tired of paying your cable bill and want to stream to cut your cost?  Join us at the Library for a demonstration on how easy it can be to "cut the cable"!

American Red Cross Blood Drive, September 8th from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

70's, 80's & 90's TV Theme Song Trivia Night  September 20th at 6 PM (Registration at 5:30 PM)
How well do you know your 70's, 80's and 90's TV theme songs?  Join us for Trivia Night and test your knowledge in teams of up to four to compete for prizes.  Registration begins at 5:30 PM

FREE Computer Classes, Every Tuesday at 9:00 AM (Carver Branch Library)

Model City Chess Club, September 17th at 1:30 PM
Join the Model City Chess Club in the Ayers Room for their monthly meeting.  All skill levels welcome, from beginner to advanced.

Family Camp (PG), September 26th at noon
When two polar-opposite families are forced to camp together, the dads struggle to hold onto their families and marriages as they compete for the coveted camp trophy.

Teen/Young Adult Services

Anime Club : Yona of the Dawn, September 8th at 4 PM
Come to the Ayers Room to watch a new anime title and enjoy Japanese snacks and prizes every month!  This month we will be watching Yona of the Dawn

D&D Day at the Library,  September 10th at 1:00 PM
Join us for D&D here at the Library!  Bring your character sheet, make some new friends and enjoy some pizza.  If you are bringing your own character, we request that you scale your character back to the appropriate level so that all may play together (we are currently level 2-3).     

Financial Literacy by FDIC, September 21st at 3:30 PM
Join us for a special 8 part program by FDIC for teens in grades 11-12.  Learn all about financial literacy, how to manage money and save.  Our first module will be "Bank on it" - Opening and maintaining your first bank account.

DIY Zombeanies September 29th at 4 PM
TEENS - Join us at the Library as we make zombie themed hats!

Homeschooler Computer Class,  September 2nd at 11:00 AM
Stop by the Carver Branch Library for Homeschoolers Computer Class!  Learn things such as creating spreadsheets, resumes, basic coding and beginners graphic design.  

Homeschoolers Art Class,  September 16th at 11 AM
Learn about famous artists, movements, styles and mediums and then create works of art yourself! Ages 13+

Game Night, September 22nd at 6 PM
Virtual Reality, (VR users must be 13+), board games, card games, party games! You name it; we'll be playing it. Bring your friends or make some new ones!

Children Services

Lego League,  August 10th at 3:30 PM
Come build with LEGO bricks in the Children's Department!

Sensory Storytime, Tuesdays at 10 AM
Come back to the library and join us for Storytime every Tuesday at 10 am in the Ayer's Room! This will be a socially distanced story time with a craft. A recording of the story will be made available on Facebook.

Pick-Up Craft, Weekly in August
Each week a new craft will be available. You can pick up a kit in the Children's Department.
