About Us
Founded in October 1962, The Arts Council, Inc. (TAC) is a private, non-profit arts organization led by six professional staff and a board of directors. Housed in the Von Braun Center in downtown Huntsville, AL, TAC serves as the umbrella organization for over 100 arts groups, artists, and arts advocates. Our core programs include:
Arts Education; Member Services; the Panoply® Arts Festival; Concerts in the Park; and Community Outreach/ Information Services.
The Arts Council's Mission
The Arts Council produces, promotes, coordinates, and advances the arts to enrich the quality of life, economic development, and education of the greater Huntsville/Madison County community.
