Weary from a long day of traveling from Vicksburg, Mississippi, we longed for a hearty fresh cooked meal, We were seated promptly, or waitress took our our drink and food order quickly, and before we knew it we had our meal.we split a vegetable plate( which was MORE than enough food) our meal was put into separate bowls and there was no plate( we had to ask for one). our okra was a little tough but everything else was fine. We had to wait for an extended period of time for our check and to go box (at least 13 minutes). We were in line for a while to pay our bill.the elderly gentleman in front of us was unsure how to use his debit card. The cashier did not seem as if she was going to help him, so I stepped in. He ordered 24 items in total. The store, restaurant, and bathrooms were all clean, and contrary to another review there were no rats. I would recommend

We travel all over the states and this is by far the best Cracker Barrel we’ve had. Anna was so sweet. She made sure that my dinner was just right . Even the manager came out to make sure that there was no oil on my fish since I can’t have oil. They were the best. And the food was amazing. They definitely deserve 5 stars.

Used to have breakfast here almost weekly with a friend. Schedules change, life happens. Had not been here in well over a year. Last night, met a friend traveling through on her way to the beach. About 8, Saturday night, not at all crowded, primarily families. Had the campfire beef in tinfoil, but almost changed when my friend ordered that CB staple chicken fried steak, son had rib eye. Plate full of fluffy biscuits and hot, dense, unsweet corn muffins. Everything was good, even the hamburger steak I brought home for the spouse. We were all full and happy. Service was also good, no issues. Except out of their other signature dessert, Coca-Cola cake. Not that we needed it! Shop was fully decorated in outdoorsy, summer finery but I had to bring that plate on home; $23 for 2 plates, 1 drink - about what you expect to pay there. Food consistent, service fine & friendly. Restaurant, tables & menus clean. Even though we didn't stop eating there for a specific reason, we'll probably put in back into our regular restaurant-rotation.

As a rule, we love Cracker Barrel, however this one was dismal. The restroom was not maintained properly and the shopping part seemed messy and disorganized. We had a wait even though there were empty tables. I ordered a bowl of chicken and dumplings and got 1 tiny bite of chicken, heavy sticky dumplings and absolutely no broth. Also I realized it was a child’s portion even though I did not order it that way. My husband ordered chicken and dumplings ( he got two pieces of chicken)and a side salad. It was served on the same plate which was totally unsuitable. He was charged for two sides but they remedied that by taking it off the bill. We didn’t get drinks until after our food arrived. One can usually trust a Cracker Barrel... not this time. It looked to be poorly managed, have an untrained staff and was very unsatisfactory on every level.

Long wait, understaffed. We asked for some corn muffins while we waited. The waiter said it would take a minute because they were making a fresh batch. By the time we got them the rest of our good came out. The corn muffins were cold, our food was cold, the AC dripped on me. 2 starts because the country fried steak was alright, but if you're traveling on I 20, just stop at the one in Leeds or Meridian instead.
