October is in full swing and do we have a lot going on! There is something for everyone so join us at the library this month.

The Friends of the Chelsea Library Patio Books Sale is Saturday October 14 from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Come shop for books and chat with the Friends members. Ask what the group is all about. You just might want to get involved.

All proceeds stay with the Friends who in turn spend it on the library. Thank you for your support!

Join us on the patio as Master Scarcsella's World Class Tae Kwond Do presents a self defense class. Learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones.

This class is for 18 years and up! Please register so we know you are coming.

Join us Thursday October 19, 2023 at 6:00 pm for Book Talk.

So many of you have asked for a Book Club at night so here it is! Come to the first meeting and see what it is all about.

Snacks will be provided.

October 20, 2023 | 1:00-2:00pm

Join us every 3rd Friday from 1:00 - 2:00pm for Homeschool Hangout!

This month come decorate a pumpkin!

We will provide the pumpkins (foam) and the decorating materials. Use your imagination and create the best pumpkin ever!

Dungeons and Dragons is back!!! We have two groups now meeting at the library.

One group meets on Mondays from 4:00 - 6:00pm beginning September 11. This group is for 12 - 14 year olds. This group is limited to 8.

The second group meets on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 pm beginning September 13. This group is for 15 years and up. This group is limited to 6.

Please make sure you register for these groups. We do have a wait list so if the group is full we will bring in someone on the waitlist. If we have enough on the waitlist and someone willing to lead the group we will consider forming another group!

2nd Saturday is LEGO Saturday from

10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Join us each week to build, participate in challenges, and just have a great time!

3rd Saturday from 10:00am - 11:30pm for Pokemon Trading Club! This meets on the patio.

4th Saturday is STEAM. Join Ms. Kim on the patio for all kinds of activities and challenges each Saturday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

If you are a tutor and looking for more students send us your contact infomation and we will add you to the list. You can email us the information here or contact the library at 205-847-5750.

Did you know that ABC Mouse is free at your Chelsea Public Library?

You must be on our WI-FI to access it free.

Come in and use your device or ask us for a chromebook and stay as long as your like exploring and learning.

Does your child need help with their homework after school?

Receive free online tutoring from education professionals.

HomeworkAlabama.org provides free homework tutoring and test prep materials in over 40 subjects, including math, science, social studies, and language arts.

Tutors are available seven days a week from 3PM to 10PM.

Also includes Princeton Review’s SAT/ACT Essentials and live online career coaching seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Homework Alabama is available remotely to all Alabamians.
